baptism

A lot of people confess Jesus as Lord through baptism, which symbolizes our resurrection from the dead through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Baptism is NOT a prerequisite for salvation! Is it not ironic that most baptism-only advocates say that to believe and confess doesn't seem like enough for salvation, but that if you dunk yourself in water, then, hey, you're saved? I say - and Scriptures say - that salvation is found not in works, but through faith! But all Christians are commanded by Jesus to be baptized, and to refuse baptism, in my eyes, is rebellion against God (sin).

Any questions, comments, concerns referring to the held-belief of pure and simple faith are appreciated!
