have we forgotten?

Have we forgotten?

How come when we think of Heaven, our hearts curl, when they should be exploding?

How come when we are asked if we're excited about Heaven, we say yes, but inside, we're replying, "No... This is the only time I'll enjoy life."

How come we think Heaven is boring and depressing? How come we have let society influence the way we view biblical Heaven? How come we have lost the fascination and anticipation and gut-wrenching anxiety for Kingdom Come? How come we have turned Paradise into a white-washed, doctrinated, tamed and toned-down version of a drab Sunday morning hymn service? Why?

I think it's because we've forgotten.

"And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us. But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation? And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss. And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise."
